Why I Use Disposable Diapers

As a first-time mom, there are so many choices when it comes to diapers & feeding. This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/Huggies®. Today, I’m sharing why I use disposable diapers.

The choices are endless when it comes to being a parent.

Formula fed vs. Breastfed.

Co-sleeping vs. Crib sleeping.

Disposable diapers vs. Cloth diapers.

I think each family has their own technique for parenting. But I wanted to share my pros and cons and why we ultimately decided to use disposable diapers.

Pros of Disposable Diapers

I want to take a look at the pros for using disposable diapers with our family.

Convenience

Cloth diapers have a lot of bells and whistles. Disposable diapers make it easy to tab on and off of a squirmy baby.

Huggies® has just launched their perfect diaper, Huggies® Special Delivery™, now available at Walmart. These are premium diapers that provide the best mix of softness & performance to help keep your baby’s skin protected & comfortable.

New Huggies® Special Delivery™ diapers come in a variety of stylish designs. I loved opening my box and picking an adorable design for Elliott’s little booty!

Sanitation

I was not even remotely interested in washing cloth diapers. There, I said it.

I know plenty of family and friends that opted for cloth diapers, but that just wasn’t my ball game. I’m so far deep in to laundry as is, adding cloth diapers was not something my husband and I were on board with.

Huggies® Special Delivery™ has Huggies®’s trusted protection that lasts up to 12 hours, as well as the Huggies® wetness indicator. Perfect for knowing when baby needs a change!

Why I Use Disposable Diapers

Hypoallergenic

The softest plant-based diapers*,Huggies® Special Delivery™ disposable diapers are hypoallergenic, have no harsh ingredients, and are dermatologist tested. Plus, just like all Huggies® diapers, Huggies® Special Delivery™ infant diapers are: paraben-free, fragrance-free, and elemental chlorine-free.

We’ve had trial and error with so many other brands, but Huggies® has been number one for us when it comes to disposable diapers.

Why I Use Disposable Diapers

Diaper Challenges

Both disposable and cloth diapers do have some challenges. I’m sharing a few and how we work around them.

Expensive

Obviously the numbers add up with newborns. Formula, bottles, diapers, oh my!

Best solution is to head to your local Walmart, for every day low prices. Look for the Huggies® Special Delivery™ end-aisle displays..

Click here to shop for Huggies® Special Delivery™ at Walmart.com. My delivery was so quick I was surprised when they arrived at my doorstep!

Skin Irritation

Another concern I had was making sure our disposable diapers would not cause any skin irritations. Cloth diapers can be the same way.

It was a priority for us to find a hypoallergenic diaper that is safe for our babies booty!

I’ve mentioned above – Huggies® Special Delivery™ disposable diapers are hypoallergenic, have no harsh ingredients, and are dermatologist tested. Plus, just like all Huggies® diapers, Huggies® Special Delivery™ infant diapers are: paraben-free, fragrance-free, and elemental chlorine-free.

Win for all of us!

Messy

Needless to say, cloth diapers are messy.

There is a whole new world of cloth diapering and I have many friends who enjoy the perks! I think it’s important to find what works for you and your family!

All in all, our choice was using Huggies® Special Delivery™ disposable diapers! They’ve been a blessing for our family!

What is your opinion on cloth vs. disposable?!
