I’m so excited that I can finally share Olivers & Elliotts vintage sports themed bedroom! Blood, sweat and a lot of tears!
We moved into our forever home June 2021. I was SO excited to create a fun space for the boys when we moved in. They technically have an attic room, but I love the slope ceilings and it’s so charming. Atticus is currently in his own bedroom. I did NOT want to mess with his sleep! So he’s the spoiled third baby with an extra large room 😜
I started reaching out to my followers on Instagram and did some research on Google to pull together the ultimate vintage sports themed bedroom, and I think it turned out great!
Vintage Sports Themed Bedroom
When it comes to my husband, the limit does not exist with sports. The more the merrier! But, I wanted to try and stick to a few of our favorites. I opted for vintage golf and football for their bedroom.
Bedframe
I’m not going to lie, I have this bed in many different sizes. I’m obsessed. The black metal is so classic and you can add any bedding to make it modern or a little South Hampton style. I found the best deal on Wayfair. The metal makes it versatile and easy to clean. It’s the perfect height for the boys and they were so easy to put together!
Bedding
I was very picky with the bedding, when I really shouldn’t have. I’ve used Beddy’s bedding in the past and my boys love it. I opted for the London Luxxe twin size and it truly is amazing! The bedding comes in two pieces, the sewn in sheet and the top comforter. I love that I can detach two pieces, wash and dry and I’m on my way. So easy to put back on to their beds, and the best part, they’re starting to do it themselves! Bonus points!
If I hadn’t chosen Beddy’s, I always keep my eye on Pottery Barn Kids. This Madras Quilt was adorable and fits perfect with their bedroom! Or if you’re looking to make an investment long-term on their bedding, I’ve heard great reviews on Boll & Branch Quilts.
Vintage Sports Decor
My best source for vintage sports decor was Etsy. I found so many great pieces of artwork and vintage sports equipment! I had so much fun doing the shopping and finding little pieces for every nook and cranny in their bedroom. I grabbed monogram pillows from Uncommon Rose.
Golf Course Prints from ClairWDesign. These adorable stamped books from Stamped Sentiment on Etsy. And of course, I threw in a few old hockey sticks that we found in the garage for some fun!
The bedroom previously had awful hook and wire shelving on the walls, so that was an easy replacement with these beautiful rustic shelves from UrbanFarmhouseGroup.
And I couldn’t forget, I grabbed this pack of Ivy League pennants to hang on the ceiling! The boys have so much fun picking their favorite college!
Paint Color
It’s been a while but I was in a huge debate on how to paint the bedroom. With the house being 100 years old (yikes!) the entire room needed a touch up. I decided to stick with my favorite, Sherwin Williams. I did the entire trim and walls in Alabaster and I chose Naval for the ceiling, which was a little insane 😜 but I think it turned out awesome!
What’s your favorite room to decorate!? I love doing the nursery and toddler bedrooms!
