I had so much fun creating Oliver’s nursery, I knew I wanted to make something special for Baby Boy #2 as well. I’m showing you my Starry Sky Nursery Inspiration for Baby Boy.

A few weeks ago I created The Ultimate Nursery Checklist that will be sure to guide you in decorating and furnishing a nursery. As I gathered ideas for the free printable, I started looking for products that gave me inspiration for Baby Boy #2. I made my decision thanks to these adorable sheets at Target!

I love the idea of finding swaddles or crib sheets to pull colors and inspiration. For Oliver’s nursery, I purchased polar bear and penguin watercolors from Etsy. That led to finding the perfect Pottery Barn bedding to follow a “North Pole” theme.

For the second time around, I found the Cloud Island Constellation crib sheets and I fell in love! I’ve been gathering items here and there, and I even managed to DIY artwork. It is the perfect Mama’s touch for Baby Boy #2.

We will be passing down Oliver’s white furniture from IKEA now that he has transitioned into his toddler bed. The Hemnes Dresser and Sundvik crib were perfect and I love the simplicity.

Bedding

Choosing the nursery bedding was probably my favorite! I had a lot of inspiration come from the bedding we chose for Elliott’s Starry Sky Nursery. The Constellation crib sheet was my favorite, and then I just let the ideas flow from there.

Another favorite for crib sheets, is Pottery Barn Kids. The sheets are so soft and last forever! Totally worth the investment!

Furniture

My greatest marriage advice – build IKEA furniture together, if you make it through then you can survive a lifetime of marriage together!

Crib

But seriously, we chose very simplistic furniture and it has been the biggest bang for our buck. Our $120 crib has lasted two babies (3 years) and it’s still going strong.

Similar white cribs can be found on my Amazon Marketplace! Take a look here for Nursery Inspiration!

Rocking Chair

Another must-have for our nursery is a rocking chair and/or glider. The chair we chose from Babies R Us is no longer available, so the DaVinci Glider from Target is the closest option. I highly recommend choosing something comfy, you’ll be in that glider for a long time! 😉

Artwork

By some miracle, I was able to finish artwork for Elliott’s nursery. With a little paint and some painters glue, I created three pieces; Ursa Minor, an E for Elliott and the zodiac sign, Cancer.

I love having personal touches in the nursery!

A few favorites we always keep on the dresser; the Vtech Baby Monitor and Cool Mist Humidifier that I may or may not sneak in to my bedroom when I’m sick, it’s that amazing!

Decor

I would say finish these little pieces for last. Have fun with it!

Draw inspiration from your artwork or crib sheets. I like having the same color palette.

This Chenille Rug from Pottery Barn is adorable and is perfect to play on with baby. Another cute choice is this alphabet rug!

You could even include a star map from the night the child was born!

I like the idea of a vision board. I’m struggling with her nursery currently, so I’m going to do this in hopes of finding some inspiration. Thank you!!
