With the season change coming right around the corner I am swooning over the fall fashions. September to December is my favorite time of the year, and yes, I am a pumpkin freak. There is nothing better than a crisp morning walk and glancing at the vibrant red and orange trees.
Shopping for myself can be a little difficult, what looks great on the size 4 model at Banana Republic certainly does not flatter these size 12 hips. That unfortunately leads to me becoming a) very self-conscious and b) choosing the color black.

I was joking with my girlfriends that I opened my wardrobe the other morning and realized every single piece of clothing in my drawer was black. So I’m setting some goals for myself to explore patterns and be a little creative.
I’m hoping I can share some pieces I find with you. And if you are in the same boat as me, share some of your ideas and what works for you! I love a little retail therapy.
Oliver on the other hand is SO much fun to shop for. My husband and I joke around that if we have any girls, our bank account is screwed. My go-to store is usually Carters but lately I have some great luck at Target (Cat & Jack) and Macy’s.
I try not to spend too much because I know he will grow out of it so quickly, but Mama can never resist a good polo for my boy, and isn’t this yellow rain jacket to die for?! What are some of your favorite toddler shops?
Love the perforated peep toe boots!
They’re amazing! So soft and so comfy!
Why are kids clothes SO cute to shop for?! Love all of your mama picks too!
Such cute outfits! I would definitely say to go for it and explore colors and patterns, I’m a huge fan of bright colors and I think they make your mood a little brighter on those cloudy fall days!
Just looking at this makes me want to throw everything from my closet away and just get new sets of outfits. For the whole family ha!
Love those boots! This makes me excited for fall!
Love seeing what jeans you chose since I too have hips! And this totally makes me miss being able to pick clothes for my boy, he has his own ideas now…
I’ve actually had great luck with old navy jeans too!
I too feel like at one point I had an overload of black in my closet! I have slowly worked in some more colorful pieces!
