GUEST BEDROOM FARMHOUSE INSPIRATION

We are about six weeks away from closing on our house. If you’re new here, check out this post to see the beginning process of building our dream home. We made the decision in March to list our little home and start a new adventure with building a home for our family.

My mind is going in circles with all the rooms I get to decorate! I have an idea for each space, but I want to take it one room at a time so I don’t get caught in the cross fires of creativity.

One of the big reasons we decided to move was for more square footage. We knew our three bedroom/one bathroom house was not going to cut it if we increase our family. We also know that it’s a tight fit whenever we have visitors, and we LOVE visitors! I am so excited to create a tranquil and relaxing guest bedroom. I want all of our friends and family that visit to feel like they can sit back and kick up their feet. I’m thinking dark iron bed, white linens with a touch of eclectic.

The room will be so comfy we may persuade our guests to stay a little longer!

Check out some of my favorite inspiration for the guest bedroom.

I love the look of white linen, so clean and fresh! I’m also totally in love with the chunky knit blanket, I dream of scooping up Oliver and snuggling on the couch with Finding Dory on repeat. Adding greenery is also a major goal for myself. I want to include greenery throughout the house along with some personal touches in each room.

I can’t wait to show you the design process when we make our move in to the new house!

I love all of these! White just adds a crispness to a room no other color can

Wrought iron bed frames are my favourite. They remind me of the old days and look so beautiful with fresh whites as well as many other colour palettes. Great inspiration for sure 🙂

I love the white with stripes. Fresh take on the white bedding. Greenery pops so well in bright rooms. I gave several plants in white containers in my office. Freshens up a room in no time.

Beautiful guest rooms, it will be lovely to check back and see which ideas you use for your new guest room in the new house! Fresh, clean and classic is the way to go, guests have different taste in decor but if you keep it simple and clean lines, they will feel at home when they visit you.
