I’m always afraid to say the word ‘maternity’ like it has some sort of voodoo hanging on to it. Maternity style can be extremely difficult and overwhelming. A woman’s body changes to accommodate for the little bean you are growing, so why are we afraid to accommodate our style and comfort?
In my first pregnancy, I was working in a small office so I was lucky enough to wear whatever I felt comfortable in. Which led to many days of leggings and tunic sweaters. And let me tell you, not much has changed for this pregnancy.
My belly is growing rapidly and I find myself switching to comfort more than anything, but many of you are not so lucky. I can’t imagine trying to find maternity slacks and blazer to fit the belly.
So, with that being said, I wanted to start a little trend here with Fashion Fridays.
Today is all about maternity style for winter. This season can be very easy to dress for because, duh leggings, but there are only so many days where I can get away with out actually wearing jeans. Hopefully this helps you find some comfort for a day running errands or a long day in the office.

Day at the Park
Whether we are playing outside or at our favorite indoor gymnasium, it’s important for me to be comfy in what I’m wearing. If you haven’t checked out my Athleta Style for Moms post, I am obsessing over their winter dresses. I always pair with my favorite leggings and slip-on sneakers to get out the door quick.
Day in the Office
The days when I was working in the office, I was always freezing. Gap has the perfect pair of maternity slacks, pair that with a soft cashmere turtle neck and you’ll be comfy and stylish all day. Heels are usually a no-go while I’m pregnant, so I’m happy mules are in style!
Date Night
When my husband and I do date nights I like to keep it relaxed but stylish. I’m a huge fan of the side panel maternity leggings. It’s a great starter jean before your belly is getting too big. And if you know me, you know that I like to stick to simple and basic sweaters with dainty jewelry. This Blush V-Neck is absolutely beautiful. Throw on your favorite pair of boots and have a great night with the hubs!
