We only have a few weeks left until our house is complete so I have been spending my days dreaming of ideas to decorate each and every room. Our house will be an open floor plan so I want to start with the living room because it is the biggest center of traffic and will be a great common area for guests.

I will be using most of our current furniture, with the exception of the beautiful new leather sectional we purchased, so we can save some money. I was partial to buying a leather sofa in the first place but we have realized this phase in our life includes LOTS of sticky hands and goldfish crumbs.

Our entire interior of the house will be painted Amazing Gray by Sherwin-Williams. This color seemed to be the most neutral for all the rooms in our house. It is a great staple color and each room will have a chance to show its own personality. With that being said, I wanted to put together a mood board using our two focal pieces. Our new leather sectional sofa, and my beauty of a rug “The Claire” from Joss & Main.

With those two focal points, I hope to bring in some texture and keep the living room calm and comfortable. I love using the coffee table and the candle holders to bring in some wood texture. I’m also going out on a limb with the Ombre curtains. I usually keep things very simple but I could not stop swooning over those beauties! They’ll bring a fun little flare to the room.

    1. I love sectionals, but I’m also a fan of white couches. We knew having a toddler and a white couch would not mix well. I’m excited to see everything pulled together! 🙂
